Ami Otsuka speaks at Kyoso-no-Mori, Hitachi's Research & Development Group
Author and app developer Ami Otsuka (representative of Hundreds LLC) gave a talk on May 20, 2025 at Kyoso-no-Mori, the site of Hitachi's Research & Development Group. The title was "From being taken over by AI to taking it over: what the #100 Days Challenge teaches about using generative AI." She also joined the panel discussion.
450 people attended. In the talk Otsuka gave figures from the 100 Days Challenge: each app was expected to take two or three hours and instead took ten hours a day for 100 days; over two months the plan was revised 60 times; and after 3,000 hours of handing work to an AI and fixing the result, she came to understand programming. Otsuka studied economics.
She closed by saying that there is no future in which AI does not take work away, and called on the audience to take command of AI and go after the work together.

Author and app developer; representative of Hundreds LLC. Starting in October 2023, while a student at Chuo University, she built an app a day with ChatGPT for 100 consecutive days and posted each one to X, a record published as #100 Days Challenge: I Built 100 Apps in 100 Days and My Life Changed (Nikkei BP, 2025). Named to Forbes JAPAN's Women In Tech 30 in 2026. She is now based in Thailand, writing, speaking and building apps.
