MemoLune takes third place in the Buzziest Launch Award at RevenueCat Shipaton 2025
The results of Shipaton 2025, the app-building competition run by RevenueCat, were announced on October 13, 2025. MemoLune, the memo app developed by author and app developer Ami Otsuka (representative of Hundreds LLC), took third place in the Buzziest Launch Award.
Shipaton 2025 drew participants from around the world, with 812 projects submitted.
RevenueCat's announcement describes MemoLune as an app built over 100 consecutive days, with the process itself turned into a story; launched live during a PyCon JP keynote; and followed, within the first week, by speaking invitations from four events and a radio appearance.

- The announcement page does not name the developer. That MemoLune was developed by Ami Otsuka is Otsuka's own statement.
- The event is spelled "Shipaton," not "Shipathon." Some earlier writing on this site used the wrong spelling and is being corrected.
- On participant numbers, RevenueCat's announcement says only "tens of thousands from around the world." A specific figure cannot be confirmed from that source. In a Weekly ASCII interview (February 3, 2026) Otsuka gave the figure as "55,000 people worldwide."
