Paper by Ami Otsuka receives SPECIAL AWARD FOR AI SUPPORTED EDUCATION at IEEE CogInfoCom 2024
At the 15th IEEE International Conference on Cognitive Infocommunications (IEEE CogInfoCom 2024), held September 16–18, 2024 at Chuo University's Tama Campus, a paper with Ami Otsuka (now an author and representative of Hundreds LLC) as first author received the SPECIAL AWARD FOR AI SUPPORTED EDUCATION.
The paper is "Game Software Developing Platform Applying Conversational AI" by Ami Otsuka, Akira Sasaki and Atsushi Ito. It deals with learning to program by having a conversational AI build games, and grew out of research Otsuka carried out as a student at Chuo University.
Otsuka had earlier received the 2023 Young Researcher Award in Network Software from the IEICE Technical Committee on Network Software. Both lines of research began when a professor caught her building Othello with ChatGPT during his class.
